Troops are essential in Galaxy On Fire Alliances.  You can have unlimited amount of troops and they are used for both offense and defense.

Building Troops

There are two ways to mass produce troops, one takes credits and builds quickly the other is slow but doesn’t require any credits.

Troop Cruncher(with bank planet)

You produce the max possible number of troops in one go with the use of credit speedbuild.  This requires a bank planet arrangement, see Planet Arrangement for more details.  A maximum level bank can produce 491k of troops for around 990 credits.

Infantry School

You produce as many troops as possible without use of credit speedbuild.  You’ll need a good efficiency planet to cut down cost of building troops.  See Planet Arrangement for more details.

Troop Defense

Leaving troops on planet will defend your planets from attack.  It’s a good idea to research ground battle and bomber defence in lab to help protect your troops from bombers and other troops.  Note, carriers with troops on planet will not defend your planet.

Troop Offense

Rather than having troops divided among carriers, it’s best to have troops on your yellow carriers.

If you are attacking a planet with a large number of troops, it’s best to hold off sending your troops until you’ve bombarded the planet with your red carriers to bring down the numbers.  Also don’t ever send your yellow carrier with troops to a planet until all enemy ships has been destroyed, otherwise you could potentially lose all your troops in space battle.
